Shyara’s journey towards becoming a yoga teacher started in 2000
when she started practicing Iyengar yoga in Brighton.
This helped bring balance to a sometimes stressful career as a Forensic Scientist within the Metropolitan Police Serious Crime Unit. She developed a love for the tranquility of mind and positive energy yoga brought to her everyday life, and in the following years went on to practice a variety of different yoga styles.
Yoga remained a constant in her life when she left her career to look after her three children, and it was during this time that she really discovered yoga’s power to help her through difficult times, manage stress, and to be a healing practice. A variety of great teachers have influenced both Shyara’s personal practice and teaching style. She studied with Sally Parkes to complete her 200hr Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training certified through Yoga Alliance In 2016.
Believing passionately that yoga should be made available to everyone, Shyara established the Cuckfield Yoga Boutique in 2016. Her aim is to offer small, friendly classes in a secure and safe environment for people within her local community. Her goal is to help clients develop a yoga practice that works specifically for them as individuals.
In 2018 Shyara discovered It’s Yoga Brighton and was blown away by the Rocket, It’s philosophy and teachings. She went on to study privately with Lena Younes and has completed a 301 teacher training to become a Rocket facilitator.
"I love yoga for so many reasons! It helps me get out of my own head, it keeps me focused, makes me feel strong, reminds me to breathe and keeps me honest. I am learning constantly and feel I learn as much from my students as they learn from me which is a true privilege.
My purpose as a facilitator is to be confident, kind and authentic in order to inspire, share and practice yoga alone and with others. From this purpose I gain contentment, strength, gratitude and above all love."
