Lena's It's Yoga story began in 2014, when she stepped into her 200hr
Teacher Training at It’s Yoga Firenze shortly after moving to Tuscany in order to finish her PhD in Early Modern History. It was a place that felt like home, and the community was both welcoming and inspiring.
Yoga had made an appearance in her life - on and off - for almost a decade, but this is where she began to commit to the practice and to her own process of transformation. It's Yoga changed her life - having spent years first battling with and then recovering from chronic Lyme Disease as well as other health crises, she showed up to her training with a body that was both weak and tight.
And as she discovered a daily on - and off - the mat practice, things began to change. Her body - and mind - became stronger, more open and flexible. She let go of her doctoral studies shortly after, committing to sharing the love!
She has since completed her RYT500 hour training with It's Yoga International and loves how she's never 'done' with this system. With a background in Theatre Studies, Music and History, she is also trained in Kids and Family Yoga, and has attended Rosen bodywork intensives which have influenced her approach to Yin Yoga. It is her intention to keep evolving, growing and transforming, together with the It's Yoga Brighton - and international - community.
'My purpose as a Rocket trainer and instructor is to be compassionate, authentic, grounded, inspired and patient. It is to stay connected to my breath and my feeling body as I create a nurturing environment which holds the space for transformation and growth on and off the mat, so that I may have a loving, supportive, knowledgeable and abundant It's Yoga family and community wherever I go.'
