When and where your practice begins

WE ARE RE-OPENING: Like all other yoga studios, we closed our doors on Friday 20 March 2020 to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 amongst our community. We are now excited to announce that we will be re-opening on Monday 27th July and run a hybrid online, in person and outdoor schedule.

If you are finding yourself in a financially difficult situation due to COVID-19 repercussions but would still like to join our classes, please contact us at namaste@itsyogabrighton.co.uk.

Like many businesses, we've been hit by the UK lockdown and it will take us a while to recover financially. If you do not wish to attend classes but still want to help us stay open or have been offered a donation based membership, you can support us by making a donation to our PayPal fund.

Use the MindBody schedule below to book your classes.Studio classes are held at It's Yoga Brighton on Port Hall Avenue.

You will receive a booking confirmation email with your personal Zoom link upon booking classes, which you will need if you choose to join the class virtually. You will then be directed to a virtual waiting room, from which you will be let into the class by the facilitator at the beginning of the class.

Outdoor classes will take place in Dyke Road Park - we will meet under the trees at the bottom of the main field.

Please scroll down for important information about keeping the community safe during this time.

Keeping You Safe - things to keep in mind

  • class size is reduced to 7 students per class to allow for physical distancing measures. You will be asked to place your mat on a pre-marked spot in our studio to facilitate this. Please book in advance if you can to make sure there is enough space - either by using our website's booking system or by contacting us by email.
  • no props will be available for communal use at this time, so please bring your own mat and props as well as your own water bottle. Tea & filtered water supplies are currently suspended to minimise touch points as we get used to this new way of being with each other. If you do not have your own mat, we can lend you one - you will be asked to clean it after use. Alternatively, we have mats available for purchase.
  • for this reason, our Restorative classes are suspended for now - they'll be back once we can share props again or have found a solution that works! If you wish to have a restorative experience in the meantime, you can bring and use your own props in our Yin Yoga classes. please come ready dressed for your class unless absolutely not possible. The changing room will be kept available for storage of personal items and those who cannot change at home - but only one person at a time!
  • please do not come to class if you have any symptoms such as a fever or a cough!
  • there will be no hands-on adjustments at this time - but we give plenty of verbal adjustments! It's a great opportunity to really tune into your inner teacher.
  • a window will be kept open in the yoga shala at all times for ventilation reasons - with no communal blankets available at this time, make sure you bring a jumper or your own blanket for savasana.
  • we will have hand sanitiser available in the reception and outside the yoga shala - please use this (or bring your own) before and after class.
  • we will be mopping the studio floor and all surfaces three times a week and cleaning frequent touch points as well as the bathroom after every class.
  • any questions - please get in touch!
